Compensation Insider is a blog about Compensation & Benefits, of course…

I want to discuss all aspects related to this deep, ever-changing topic.

As I’ve said before, through my many interactions with HR and C&B colleagues, I have noticed a deep interest to understand more about “modern” C&B practices, especially in the region where I live and work.

I am currently based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and have worked supporting the MEA region, and Gulf countries, for most of the years of my career in C&B.

Through my experience in multinationals as well as regional GCC organisations I have been exposed to the different ways of working and operating across company types as well as cultures.

I want Compensation Insider to cover C&B of course, but with, when needed, a specific edge towards the GCC, Middle East and emerging countries.

I believe that a lot of best practices are just great… but also that they need to be adapted to the needs of the company, culture, and situation that you are facing, *on that day*… In short for me,

Best fit > best practice

So this blog will cover base pay, and bonuses, and performance management, and expat management, and career management for C&B professionals etc… and at the same time, will add a regional flavour to it.

I am looking forward to your comments and suggestions regarding the topics you would like me to cover !
