This C&B job opportunity made me stop and think

Today’s post is going to be a little different.

I just came across a job opportunity in Compensation and Benefits and Payroll and I wanted to share it with you, as some of my readers may be interested in this kind of position.

What made me want to post it ? The job is a “Compensation and Benefits” role that has to do with payroll, policies and procedures, employees relations, to be held by a candidate with a few years of experience. No mention of pure Reward work, but I think it would be a positive move for an HR person who is interested in the more analytical aspects of Compensation and Benefits.

No, what made me want to post it is the way the organisation describes itself. They view themselves as having departments filled with people “who are adventurers and modern thinkers, who seek both stability and new horizons, who want to make a difference, and are able to reward themselves in the process. It is an environment that both desires and produces excellence.”

Now, waow ! How many organisations describe themeselves like that in the region ? For sure, some of the multinationals in the free zones will use this kind of engaging and exciting depiction. Microsoft, PepsiCo and others come to mind for example. But no, not in this case. This is a local private organisation in the UAE.
